    Bought this item from amazon.com a few weeks ago. It stopped working after about 5 uses. Save yourself some time and just get the Dell replacement!

    I too had the cord start a fire. Just one month into buying product the battery pack kept heating up and one day caught fire and melted. Not sure I want to try another.
